4.2 Comparatives and Superlatives
We use the comparative and superlative form of words to compare two or more places, people or things.
We usually add -er/ est to adjectives/adverbs with one or two syllables.
The last consonant is doubled for one syllable adjectives with consonant-vowel-consonant.
For one or two syllable adjectives/adverbs that end in y, the y changes to -i before we add -er est.
We use more most or less least with adjectives adverbs of more than two syllables.
