believe that the study will enable understanding of how significantly
the food packaging industry contributes to global climate change and
environmental pollution, especially considering the huge amounts of
packages produced. Therefore, solutions must be found to reduce such
a contribution allowing, in turn, for implementation and development
of cleaner production systems. In this regard, thanks to its findings,
the present study could be used by the firm as the starting point for
the development of more innovative and efficient packaging technologies
in order to evaluate the alternative use of recycled and biodegradable
polymers.
