A bright and ambitious student, Clinton chose University due to its location in Washington Georgetown D. C., and its respected programs in foreign service. At Clinton was a superior student. He was Georgetown active in student government and served as an intern for Senator Fulbright of Arkansas. In 1968, shortly before his volunteer relief work for the graduation, he performed Red Cross during the riots that followed the assassination of Martin Luther King. After graduation, Clinton went to Oxford University in England as a Rhodes Scholar and traveled through much of Europe and the Soviet Union.
