The Secretary and the Foreign Minister discuss increasing Thai-U.S. cooperation in Asia’s multilateral institutions.
June 1-10 General Prayuth Chan-ocha, Commander in Chief of the Royal Thai Army, visits the United States to discuss military cooperation between the two countries.
June 19 Secretary Kathleen Sebelius of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) visits Thailand and meets with Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra at the Government House. They discussed the ongoing Thai-U.S. health partnership and shared challenges in providing healthcare coverage especially to at-risk groups, as well as how to improve the quality of care and cost-effective treatment.
June 19 Chulabhorn Research Instititute (CRI) President Prof. Dr. HRH Princess Chulabhorn Walailak granted an audience to U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius. Princess Chulabhorn graciously gave a presentation about the CRI mission and discussed health research collaboration with the United States.
