Analogous
findings were obtained by Rodrigues et al. (2011) with encapsulated
L. acidophilus, Lactobacillus paracasei and Bifidobacterium
animalis during storage at 5 and 22 °C for 6 months. To and
Etzel (1997) demonstrated that during storage at 4 °C amounts of
probiotic powders markedly diminished in the presence of oxygen,
but they were relatively stable in the absence of oxygen.
