They are surprisingly diverse, and so, you may think ‘how could he finish everything?Jiwoo : Unlike a western meal with steak and vegetables on a plate, the Korean meal is served with so many side dishes(반찬) besides rice and soup on separate plates. Not to mention at Hanjeongsik(한정식) restaurants today, even at the restaurants which serve cheap Jjigae(찌개), you will see more than three side dishes(반찬) on your table. Jiwoo : Some foreigners who visit Korea for the first time worry that they might have to pay for each side dish. And others do not dare to say 'more sidedishes(반찬) please' because they think additional dishes are chargeable. In Korea, however, you don’t have to pay for the side dishes(반찬). So, you are welcome to ask more when you ate it up. Don’t worry, just ask more. But, you are advised not to make much leftovers
