Participants then completed budner’s(1962) ambiguity-intolerance questionnaire. The Budner questionnaire has been validated by Robinson and Shaver(1969) and used extensively in behavioral research. Participants indicate their strength of agreement/disagreement with each of 16 statements by responding on a six-point scale. Based on a participant’s responses, a score in computed that can range from 16 to 96, with a higher score being associated with ambiguity intolerance. The average Budner questionnaire score for the heneral population is 44-48 (Whetten and Cameron 2005)
