2.2. Sample preparation
Oranges were washed with tap water, peeled off sharply in order to collect only the flavedo part of the peel
and air dried at room temperature (18–20 C) and darkness for 12 days. The dried peels were crushed in a mixer
and 277.4 g of them were put into a cartridge made of
filter paper. The above amount of crushed peels was
large enough to be used for the isolation procedure later
on.
