Antibiotics are a normal part of the self-protective arsenals of
bacteria, such as Pseudomonas species (e.g. Pseudomonas fluorescens
strains) and Bacillus species (e.g. Bacillus
subtilis), as well as fungal species such as Trichoderma,
Gliocladium, Ampelomyces and Chaetomium and therefore these organisms have great potential
for soil conditioning
