Friendship. In high context cultures relationships are relatively long lasting, based on the individual's commitment to each other, trust, and obligations. In low-context cultures relationships are relatively shorter in duration and more casual, the bonds between people are fragile, and the extent of involvement to long-term relationship is low. Deep personal involvement with others is valued less.
Authority. In high-context cultures people are personally responsible for the actions of subordinates. In low-context cultures authority is diffused and personal responsibility is difficult to determine.
