Serving as the “Senior Program Coordinator”, responsible for “Active Case Finding- Tuberculosis (ACF-TB)” projects, in “International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union)”, I have the opportunity to apply the fundamental academic knowledge of “Medical Anthropology” to understand micro-individual level perceptions on how disease and health concerned Tuberculosis prevention, diagnosis, treatment are being perceived in the local context as the principles of ‘Health Sociology’ provide me to see the political-socio-cultural-economic determinants of health and how to break those determinants to help the marginalized population to access to the Tuberculosis diagnosis and treatment services.
