Sherlock Holmes, the famous and witty detective, isn’t strange to people who love detective stories. His rigorous logical reasoning always convinced his audiences.
My favorite manga character, Detective Conan, is as popular as Holmes.
Very similar to Holmes, Conan is smart and brave. He always tries his best to save people from danger, which makes me adore him very much. He has said: “Killing people needs a reason, but saving people doesn’t need any reason.”
Quite often, I can’t help but break into laughter when I finish reading a short story, and sometimes I even feel excited and inspired. I love the endings of all the cases he has helped solve. For example, at the end of a story, a killer wanted to end his own life, but Conan saved him from his suicide attempt and persuaded him to live on with courage, though what he had done was wrong and he should receive deserved punishment, because Conan thinks every life should be respected.
I have learned a lot from Conan’s stories, including some science. After reading his stories, I’ve started to reflect about myself, as well. I have made up my mind to try my best to help others and avoid making people I love or who love me feel sad or worried.
I love Conan for his wisdom, bravery and kindness.
