showed that number of seed stalks per plant was significantly
reduced when water stress was imposed at bolting stage (Table 6).
Generally, application of water stress significantly reduced the seed
weight per seed head. However, water stressing during seed forma-
tion highly significantly decreased the seed weight per seed head
(Table 6). Total seed yield per plant was not significantly affected by
water stress treatments. However, seed yield per plant produced
by plants that stressed at bolting was the lowest one. 1000 seed
weight was reduced only by water stressing at seed maturation
stage (Table 6).
