Currently the laydown of materials in the module yard and in particular the CV DECKS PIPING CDEFGH and CV DECK structure EFGH, could do with an improvement. When laying down material, we need to ensure that there is adequate Space for our workers to walk through, inspect and rig up. Our concern is that we may have an injury occur from someone walking on the materials, in particular material
That is covered by the blue tarpaulin. I understand this changes hour by hour and day by day, however we have to manage the situation.
Also we shall review the cable management from ground level to all levels of scaffold.
My suggestions to improve the current situation are.
• Instruct riggers on safe practice for laydown of material.
• Plan the laydown of materials, so as workforce can move freely through.
• Site foremen work with riggers to ensure materials are laid down correctly.
• Cable management to be reviewed, and planned, with the installation of cable trays to be considered.
• The use of S hooks to be improved to prevent cables running on walkways.
Khun Boonsong can we meet at 1.30pm today, to go around and review the areas, and if needed make improvements.
I appreciate VPE assistance in this matter.
