I understand in theory what Suchada was saying in her email with respect to training and development of your people and re-purposing this money for that. This approach makes sense to me. One of the main goals in canceling the PIP event this year was to reduce costs. If we use the savings from PIP to be replaced with other costs then there will be little or no saving. As a point of clarification, the money identified in the chart below is travel, hotel and other PIP event related costs. This should not include any time charges for the people who traveled to PIP. So I would still expect savings of these amounts to materialize in FY16. Having said that, the numbers I provided were FY15 actuals. I don’t know what you included already in your FY16 budgets for PIP. So you can only take out what you actually put in for the PIP event.
Following that, can you please take a look at this cost again to see if this cost can be reduced closer to the amount below or confirm that you have taken out all related PIP costs?
