The microchannel heat exchanger (MCHE) is a heat exchangercomposed of metal plates that have chemically etched flow channels.
Using diffusion bonding technology, those plates are gathered to produce one block.
The hydraulic diameter of the channel created using chemical etching is on the order of one millimeter.
The small hydraulic diameter increases the heat transfer area and heat transfer performance of the MCHE; it also reduces the stress force in the MCHE.
Diffusion bonding can produce MCHE without strength reduction of the material. For that reason, MCHE has high
heat transfer performance and high anti-pressure performance.
