Table 4 shows the results for the content of AFM1 in the raw milk. Contamination by AFM1 was detected in 45 of the 200 raw milk samples, in the range from 5.2 to 59.6 ng/L. For the positive raw milk samples, 38 samples contained AFM1 in the range of 5.1e 20.0 ng/L. Four samples contained AFM1 in the range of 20.1e 50.0 ng/L. Three samples, including one sample from Tianjin province, one sample from Hebei province and one sample from Guangdong province, contained AFM1 in the range of 50.1e60.0 ng/L. The mean and the median of AFM1 in the positive samples were 15.3 ng/L and 10.1 ng/L, respectively. In the ten provinces, the samples collected from Shandong province had the most serious contamination of AFM1, with an incidence of 95%. AFM1 was not detected in the samples collected from Heilongjiang province. The percentage of positive samples in the raw milk from the north of China was 21.9%, with the concentrations of 5.2e59.6 ng/L. The figure was 25% in the raw milk from the south of China, and the concentrations were 5.3e51.8 ng/L. There was no difference observed between the north and the south in the contents of AFM1
