Colgate F. Holmes is Chairman of the Board of Glow Holdings, Inc. With a distinguished career spanning five continents and four decades, Colgate Holmes is recognized as a legend of distinguished and exceptional hotel chains, and for development of luxury hotels & resorts throughout the world.
Holmes recently completed a four-year assignment in China as Chairman of United International Hotel Group, a Beijing-based hotel consulting company that master-planned a major mixed-use development in Sanya, Hainan Island incorporating an international five-star resort and an ultra-luxury boutique hotel. A highlight of his China experience was partnership with Robert Pang, Glow Holdings’ Chairman of the Visionary Board, to spearhead the formation and entry of the first Tonino Lamborghini Hotel into the China market. Pang initiated the concept of introducing the deluxe brand into the luxury hotel market following a meeting with Mr. Tonino Lamborghini in 2011.
Prior to focusing on China, Holmes was a Principal of Momentum Partners, LLC developing the St. Cloud Resort & Spa, a five-star mixed-use project in Steamboat Springs CO. The project was terminated as a result of the 2008 financial situation.
Earlier, Colgate Holmes was a founding partner and President of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. Holmes established the luxury brand from inception through the opening of five Ritz-Carlton properties with seven additional hotels placed under development.
Previously, as President and COO of Hyatt International Corporation, Holmes was responsible for Hyatt’s worldwide development and the operation of over 40 hotels in 24 countries. He was formerly Regional Vice President for Hyatt Hotels overseeing 10 properties in the United States and serving as General Manager opening the 1,000 room Hyatt Regency Chicago, and subsequently overseeing its expansion to 2,000 rooms.
