CBCT images can identify the apical lesions and differentiate between those with endodontic and non-endodontic origin. It is preferable to periapical radiographs in the detection of fractures in the mesiodistal or buccolingual directions and the detection of horizontal root fractures. It is also a supplementary technique for identifying vertical root fractures when conventional radiograph is inconclusive.15 CBCT allows the detection of inflammatory root resorption in its earliest phases. It is often useful for root canal localization, root morphology analysis, and accessory canal identification. CBCT is considered a reliable instrument for pre - surgical endodontic examination, allowing precise measurements of the size and the extent of the lesion. In emergency situations, CBCT can aid in evaluating a tooth after trauma to determine the most appropriate treatment approach
