According to JLL Global Cross Border Retailer Attractive Index 2016, or how attractive a city is to open up a retail store, 5 Asian cities are among top ten. These are Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Beijing and Tokyo. It is not surprising at all to see such trend shifts to Asia. The attractive level is affected mainly by laws and regulations of opening hours, employee benefits, monthly rent rate which is specific to each country.
Bangkok ranks 18th in the index and expect to rise further as scarcity of available space and unmatched sky rocketed price in matured market. Bangkok seems to be alternative to for value for money renter market.
