2.2.3 Environment
The external environment affects the organization in many different ways. Then, it is the role of management to
scan the environment for opportunities and threats and use this information to refine the strategy in order to
transmit information to its employees, the way in which this can affect employees’ energy based on the culture
and communication styles of the managers. Taking into consideration that the environment is multifaceted for employees as the environment in which each employee exists is different to that in which the organization exists.
For example, employees’ personal environments can include home life, past times or relationships and actually
each of these can affect the employees’ energies in many different ways (Schiuma, 2011).
