Discussion
In
the
present
investigation,
the
mean
concentrations
of
organic
BPs
in
air
for
two
exposure
groups
were
12.73
±
1.42
and
7.73
±
0.81
mg/m3,
respectively,
which
were
significantly
higher
than
the
PC-STEL
(6.0
mg/m3)
in
China.
The
results
indicated
there
was
a
high-level
inhalation
exposure
to
organic
BPs
for
workers.
Similar
results
were
reported
by
Zeng
et
al.,
in
which
the
air
con-
centrations
of
organic
BPs
in
a
bentonite
manufacturing
factory
were
5.2–39.2
mg/m3 [4].
Moreover,
in
present
investigation
the
exposure
concentrations
and
times
of
exposure
group
I
were
sig-
nificantly
higher
than
those
in
exposure
group
II,
which
suggested
that
the
exposure
level
of
exposure
group
I
was
significantly
higher
than
that
of
exposure
group
II.
4. Discussion In the present investigation, the mean concentrations of organic BPs in air for two exposure groups were 12.73 ± 1.42 and 7.73 ± 0.81 mg/m3, respectively, which were significantly higher than the PC-STEL (6.0 mg/m3) in China. The results indicated there was a high-level inhalation exposure to organic BPs for workers. Similar results were reported by Zeng et al., in which the air con- centrations of organic BPs in a bentonite manufacturing factory were 5.2–39.2 mg/m3 [4]. Moreover, in present investigation the exposure concentrations and times of exposure group I were sig- nificantly higher than those in exposure group II, which suggested that the exposure level of exposure group I was significantly higher than that of exposure group II.
