Study: Standing Helps Students Pay Attention
According to a study from scientists at Texas A&M, students with standing desks are more attentive than their seated counterparts.
Researchers observed the behavior of 300 children in second through fourth grade and found a 12 percent greater on-task engagement in classrooms with standing desks.
Standing desks may be able to address another problem: obesity. Studies show those desks also help students burn 15 percent more calories.
