Dear Parents
Greetings!
SISB NK Department would like to launch our annual community service program. Our project
“We Give We Share” this academic year would like to adopt a border school in Ban Pa Mark in Prachuab Khiri Khan Province.
The teachers will be arranging activities that will involve students in fund raising for Ban Pa Mak school. Different levels will be trying to raise maximum funds through activities such as bake sales, concerts, art work auctions etc. therefore will be informing parents in the upcoming weeks to render your support. The NK department will be working closely with the PST group and class representatives to set up these activities.
We would like all our parents to support their children and the teachers in raising the funds. We would like to make it meaningful therefore we would like our children to put in an effort to raise the funds so that they feel a sense of accomplishment when they can meet their target.
As we collect the money, we will tally the amount and post it up outside the NK building for all to see. This money will be kept in a previous account we have opened for Community service. A copy of the bank book will also be posted outside for all parents to see.
The details of the school .and what they urgently need is in the attachment we are sending with this letter therefore parents are encouraged to look through the details. A team of SISB faculty along with our outsource team will be traveling to the school on November 28th, 2015. We will drive down together to Hua Hin, stay a night (at our own cost) and travel to the school on the 29th of November, 2015. Once at the school, we will engage the children in activities and give them lunch before returning to Bangkok on the same day.
We will also hand over cash that will be needed for the school’s requirement after they have sent us a quotation of the items, source and cost. This also will be posted for all parents to see.
Along with activities, we will also be collecting items for donation such as children’s clothes, shoes, toys, blankets etc that are in good condition to send along with our shoe boxes (Parents will be notified about shoe boxes after the midterm break).
Donation period will begin on October 12th all the way until November 20th, 2015. We hope for your support in once again making this a success. For any further enquiries, kindly contact T.
