“We teach a subject not to produce little living libraries on that subject, but rather to get a student
to think…for himself, to consider matters,…to take part in the process of knowledge-getting. Knowing is a
process, not a product” (Bruner, 1966, p. 72). Inquiry learning is a studentcentered approach that allows
students to have more control over their process of “knowledgegetting.” It arouses students‘ curiosities and
motivates students to continue to seek until they find answers (Slavin, 2006).
