The following day, the street from siriraj hospital to the Grand Palace was packed with huge crowd of black thai mourners waiting to pay homage to their king as a line of cars transported the body of his majesty. The motorcade was led by his royal highness crown prince maha vajiralongkorn along with other members of royal family. Her majesty queen sirikit was also in the procession. The royal funeral bathing ceremony and royal religious praying rites took place at the grand palace. Thai people expressed their love for his majesty by holding his portrait hands while waiting for the motorcade.
On october 14, royal family members, including HRH rince maha vajiralongkorn and HRH princess maha chakri sirindhorn, arrived at the grand palace for the royal bathing ceremony. His majesty the king's coffin was built from 100-year-old teakwood covered with gold.
