2.9. Experimental design and statistical analysis
Data concerning flower diameter and flower weight were
expressed as average ± standard errors (SE) of seven biological
replicates, and data on flower color, anthocyanin contents and gene
expression levels were expressed as average ± standard errors of
three biological replicates. The statistical analysis was performed
by one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), using SPSS software
version 18.0 (SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USA). Duncan’s multiple range
test was employed and differences of P < 0.05 were considered
significant
