3. Conclusions
In this study BoxeBehnken model was developed for gas lift
operation and this model was compared with mathematical model.
The developed mathematical model shows an error of 0.09%, and the
results of this study showed that the developed BoxeBehnken
design of the experiment model for this work has an average error of
1.35% which is a reliable result for modeling of gas lift operations.
Mathematical model might provide more accurate results, however
it should be noted that in initial estimation of gas lift operations,
BoxeBehnken method is practically more desirable model than
mathematical model. This is due to the simplicity of this model and
also that this model only requires small amount of experimental
data. Moreover, The BoxeBehnken model can specify the wells in
which higher productivity can be obtained with less gas injection,
which is important in fields with many wells where gas injection is
limited. Therefore BoxeBehnken experimental design is a robust,
quick and accurate model for initial calculations of gas lift operations.
