Manufacturing output in Singapore sputtered for a ninth consecutive month in october, weighed down by a sharp decline in electronic goods output, the Economic Development Board reported. Output fell 5.4% year-on-year, extending the previous month's 4.8% decline. "The manufacturing sector is in recession already," said Irvin seah, a senior economist at DBS. "On average, the manufacturing sector has contracted by about 3.7% year-on-year over the past four quarters.
