One of the central issues that emerged from the findings is the limited communication
between the participating hotel organisations and employment agencies providing the basis
for many of the challenges outlined above and nurturing stereotypes by both parties. Hotel
managers’ perceptions of performance traits of persons with disabilities, and costs to
accommodate the latter was not confirmed by studies of the reviewed literature. In
contrast, Table 3 outlined a wide range of performance characteristics of persons with
disabilities supporting organizational effectiveness and contributing to the financial success
of organizations, while Table 4 provided examples of inexpensive HR practices attracting
and integrating persons with disabilities.
