A four-point Likert scale (i.e., strongly disagree to strongly agree) assessed women’s views of
depression treatment delivered by mental health professionals, as well their views of nurse delivered mental health services, including their opinion of the risks of nurse-delivered counseling and their willingness to receive counseling from a nurse. The remaining items assessed women’s preference for professional treatment provider as well as their views of
appropriate settings for nurse-delivered screening and treatment programs. Participants’ demographics were also recorded, including race, ethnicity, marital status, education, income level, and age.
