After, selecting the project sites, the project team began educating staff nurses assigned to the project units. Of note, some project team members w ere staff nurses in each of the chosen sites. Two methods of education were employed: a didactic training through a PowerPoint in-service and a review and discussion of the QI project procedures both individually and in groups when possible. The education at each site varied because it was lead by the unit-specific-project team members. For example. in the rehabilitation unit, the project team member reinforced staff in-service education by sending the PowerPoint presentations via e-mail to each staff member on the rehabilitation unit as a reference.
