Conclusion
Currently,three-dimensional VLSI technologies have been developed. However, one issue is that increasing the number of TSV layers or of stacking layers increases the difficulty of producing VLSI.Therefore, currently optically reconfigurable gate arrays (ORGAs) without using TSV and microbumps, which can realize a high-speed dynamic reconfiguration, have been developed. The ORGA can be reconfigured at nanosecond-order along with numerous reconfiguration contexts, allowing high-speed dynamic reconfiguration .This paper has presented that when the high-speed dynamic reconfiguratiob is used for implementation of processors, then the processor performance can be increased drastically. It has been demonstrated that the MISC performance is 2-881 times better than that of conventional RISC architectures.
