The company, under its strategic multi-year activity, is involved the expansion of technologically advanced air package sorting facility in the world. The Louisville-based World port air hub is considered to be the largest air hub for cross-selling services to a diverse customer base at cost controls. With the expansion, the package processing would hold a sorting capacity of 416,000 packages per hour, a 37% increase over its previous capacity. Additionally, UPS has commenced the operations of its Asia facility located in Shenzhen, China. The Shenzhen hub totals nearly 89,000 square meters in size and has a processing capacity up to 18,000 pieces per hour. Such new and expanded air networks would enhance its domestic and international revenue through cross-selling services and technology driven efficiencies.
