Once again, this technique helps you gain acceptance and understanding of
the map and recognition of the issues and opportunities that exist within the
value stream. If a suggested change is lacking data to support the recommendation,
there may not be a correct answer available when the issue is discussed.
This should not stop the task of temporarily updating the map during the presentation.
Simply circle or highlight the incorrect data, or write in the data label
(such as C/T, C/O, Avail, etc.) with a colored pencil or marker so that the mapping
team can go back into the value stream after the presentation and collect
accurate data for validation.
