Sample scores covered ranges
from zero to 84 individuals m2 and from zero to about
90 g m2. Analysing the results separately for the different
crops, the significant reduction for the ridge culture
system was only confirmed under summer wheat.
This was due to two reasons. First, under grass-clover
the ridge culture system showed significantly higher
abundances and biomass compared to the two other
crops reaching the level of ‘‘ecomat’’ and regular
plough. Second, under field bean, however, not only
the ridge culture system showed very low values, but
also ‘‘ecomat’’ and regular plough did not reach the
level of biomass and abundance that was recorded for
summer wheat or grass-clover. However, on the low
level of the field bean records the ‘‘ecomat’’-treatment
was significant higher in abundance than the ridge culture
system.
