shaker incubator (New Brunswick, Excella E24) at 30 C and
110 rpm for 12 h. A 2-L Erlenmeyer flask containing 1 L of the same
medium was then inoculated with 5% (v/v) inoculum from the
above mentioned flask. The flask was incubated in the same way
until sporulation was completed (5 d).
