Nacho Carbonell, one of the exhibit’s highlights, put together a sublime material library with an array of samples,
which investigated just how diverse a material corn can be. By mixing different types of corn, such as barley, oat and
wheat, in varying ratios, Carbonell produced samples ranging in colour, material density and texture. The samples
were translated into unique and very tactile pieces of furniture. Corn Craft was an exciting precursor of a new future
and generation of sustainable crafts.
