“We have been trying to figure out how, if we are selling our program to funders or if we were
‘called to judgment,’ we would prove our case. We want to be sharper and know where our impact is. Now we are clear on the role that evaluation should play. If you are going to make strides, you have to see evaluation as integral to all that you do, not just at the end of something. It’s been a learning process for the organization. It has given us new vistas of thought about how to approach the work and its impact.
