Can introduce him/herself and others and can make him/herself understood when asking or answering questions about personal details.
Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions or basic phrases related to everyday situations.
Can initiate and respond to simple statements in areas of immediate need or on very familiar topics, although there’s much repetition or pausing to search for expressions.
Can follow speech which is very slow and carefully articulated and interact in a simple way, provided the other person is prepared to help.
Vocabulary range: has a basic vocabulary repertoire of isolated words and phrases related to everyday situations.
