I started my work at the factory of Murdston and Grinby. I worked with three other boys, cleaning wine battles from eight in the morning to eight at night with rats and dirt all around me.
on that first day, I met a man called Mr.Murdstone was paying him my rent. Mr.Micawber was a large, well-dreesed gentleman. He collected me from work and took me though the backstreets to his house. He introduced me to his wife and their four children: twins who were still nursing, a four year old boy, and a three year old girl.
They were very poor and had many creditors. The creditors used to come knocking on the door very early, and they shouted at Mr.Micawber to come out.He never did.
He used to say,"If you earn twenty shillings a year and spend nineteen, you wil be happy. If you earn twenty shillings a year and spend twenty-one, you will be unhappy."but he never followed these words.
One day,the creditors took all their furniture and put the Micawbers in debtors' prison. I likes the Micawbers a lot.Although they were poor and had many worries, they often laughed and joked. I went to visit them in prison often. Apart from my friendship with them, my life was miserable.
