Usual care for control group
In the national screening program for diabetes and
hypertension, all people aged 30 or older are screened
for hypertension every 3 years. Patients with high BP are
visited by physician in rural primary care settings every
3 months but in urban primary care settings (health‑care
centers) there is no defined intervention strategy for these
detected patients. In fact, the health service delivery systems
in health‑care centers is passive.
