fish farms. Its content should comprise the emission
standards for land-based fish farms. The results from this
study indicate that fish farm effluent has a significant
effect on river water quality with respect to nitrate, nitrite
and phosphate and EC concentrations. Whereas the fish
farms are continuing to grow in numbers and in size, it
should be refined the water discharges from them and
control the activities of unauthorized sites. As that farms
could reduce this negative impacts through improved
design of the farms, water treatment and use of
concentrate feed instead of compound feed manually.
