SUMMARY
A well - designed psychiatric - mental health clinical
simulation, combining multiple emergency/crisis concepts
is undeniably worthwhile in bridging this experiential gap
for nursing students and novice nurses preparing to enter
any clinical setting. While the resulting post - graduation
clinical outcomes of these efforts are unknown at this time,
a large body of cognitive, behavioral, and affective research
suggests that students engaging in this kind of practice
experience will have access to their prior learning in future
clinical situation.
