South Korea’s SK Global Chemical to shut Ulsan PX line
According to market sources, South Korea’s SK Global Chemical is planning to shut its No. 2 aromatics plant in Ulsan on May 20. The shutdown is expected to last for about 40 days.
The plant is able to produce 400,000 tons/year of paraxylene. The company’s No. 1 plant at the same site, which has a similar capacity, will not be affected by the shutdown, according to sources.
