Flower senescence of white orchid flower was investigated in relation to ethylene production. Ethylene production of flowers increased with premature senescence of both leaves and flowers.
Comparative inhibition damage of white orchid flower by treatment with 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) ,KMnO4 and control. Flowers are packed in a plastic bag and then placed in the box, stored at 20 oC. It has changes of overall appearance of flower drop on every 3 days.
