The takkyubin is delivery service in Japan. You can think of, you can have it picked up from and delivered to any address in the country, homes, and hotels. Takkyubin is actually a brand name, but it has also come to be the word used for courier services in general. The services are wonderfully convenient. You can arrange for a pick-up time that suits you, and if you are not home for a delivery, you can pick it up from your local convenience store. Delivery is usually the next day and prices are reasonable. You can have a suitcase picked up from an address in Tokyo and taken to an address in Osaka for about 2,000 yen, which is less than US$20, including insurance.
a small investment for excellent service. No wonder other countries wish they were as lucky as the Japanese!
