8.3 Control of Nonconforming Product
(1) Control of nonconforming Product by Supplier Supplier shall ensure that Product which does not conform to product requirements is identified and controlled to prevent its unintended use or delivery. Supplier shall define the documented procedure for the controls and related responsibilities and authorities for dealing with nonconforming Products. Supplier shall deal with nonconforming Product by one or more of the followings:
i) by taking action to eliminate the detected nonconformity;
ii) by authorizing its use, release or acceptance under concession by JDI;
iii) by taking action to preclude its original intended use or application (including scrap).
Records of the contents of non conformities and any subsequent actions taken,
including concessions obtained, shall be maintained (see Section 8.3.4 “JDI Concession”).
When nonconforming Product is corrected it shall be subject to re-verification to demonstrate conformity to the requirements.
(2)Action on nonconforming Product by JDI If any nonconformity or other quality problem are found at JDI’s incoming inspection or process, or in the market, JDI will send the notice Supplier using the form of either "Non Conforming Material
Report” attached as Form 5.
Supplier shall respond to JDI’s department which sent the notice within one week after receipt of such notice or by the specified date if JDI and Supplier separately agreed,
and then report root cause, failure analysis, corrective action and expected effect of corrective action promptly.
Replacement or any other action for nonconforming Products attributable to Supplier shall be subject to the instruction from JDI Quality Assurance Department.
