erosion is a mechanical wear process [7,8]. In oil sands slurry, corrosion
of carbon steel pipes occurs in the presence of warm water
and oxygen, combined with various salts, such as Cl− and HCO3
−,
and erosion is caused by the slurry flow and sand particles [9,10].
