Oken et al. used 135 participants in their 6-month intervention [14];
Halpern and colleges had 67 participants for 12 weeks [31]; Tiedemann
and colleagues, who reported no differences in SF-12
scores, had 14 participants for 12 weeks [15]; and we had 8 participants
for our 7-week intervention period. Therefore, when
comparing intervention studies, it is important to consider the
differences in study design when interpreting results.
